Educate Your Language, And You're Hacking Skills

picalttag

'The Bilingual Edge' by Kendall King. I found this eBook an excellent discussion about why, when and how to teach your child a second language. The authors, who are both academicians and mothers of young children, guide the reader through a very complete and empirically-based discussion, but it feels like they are sitting in your living room and chatting over coffee. The tone of this book is very friendly and the authors really make the reader feel like he/she could pull off the feat of giving a young child the gift of bilingualism! Where was this book when my kids were mere babes?
'CEH: Official Certified Ethical Hacker Review Guide: Exam 312-50' by Kimberly Graves. This book is a perfect review for people who are knowledgeable on the subject of ethical hacking, desire certification, and want that last minute review and prep guide before going in for the exam. It is cost effective and to the point! Many guides already exist to teach the subject of ethical hacking. This official guide sums up exactly (and only) the CEH exam objectives as presented by EC-Council and provides practice tests. Studiers can rapidly recognize areas they need more focus on before testing. Use the Coupon Code below to receive a discount on these two eBook Titles!

Bilingual Edge, The eBook edition by King, Kendall
It's no secret that parents want their children to have the lifelong cultural and intellectual advantages that come from being bilingual. Parents spend millions of dollars every year on classes, computer programs, and toys, all of which promise to help children learn a second language. But many of their best efforts (and investments) end in disappointment.

Math You Can REALLY Use

picalttag

'Everyday Math Demystified' I haven't studied math in many years, and I wanted to freshen up my skills. I was never a math wiz, but I am certainly competent at the basics. When you get beyond the basics, my brain starts hurting a bit. This eBook made my brain hurt. The Title is deceiving. "This is everyday math?!" The information in this book is presented so badly that you pretty much need to be a mathematician to read it (in which case you probably do not need this book). I rarely write negative things in my blogs but this has to be said! With that said I am going to recommend 'Math You Can Really Use - Every Day.' By David Alan Herzog. This is a handy little book on the basics of rounding, rational, irrational, prime numbers and equivalent fractions. Some important geometry is explained for the layperson. The book is an excellent purchase for the layperson or student of business math or elementary algebra. Be sure to check below for the coupon code for a discount on these two eBooks.

Can You Hear Me Now?

picalttag

Who knew that cell phones could be spiritual? I will admit that I have an emotional relationship with my iphone but spiritual?

The iPhone Book is both beautiful and expertly written -- the language is clear, concise, and entertaining. I personally find the iPhone to be the easiest cell phone I have ever used however; even so, I picked up several good tips and tricks from this book, and recommend it to all iPhone owners who want to get the most out of their new toy.

In Cell Phone Spirituality, the experience of transcendence within technology is put into the practical terms of daily life. This eBook is a cleverly woven reference to cell phone communication that makes Father Goodrich's book so relevant to the challenges of living the Christian Life in the 21st Century. I liked being able to relate some of my situations to things in this book. A must read for people who are busy, overwhelmed and always on the run.

The Iphone Book: How to Do the Things You Want to Do with Your Iphone (Adobe Reader) eBook edition by Kelby, Scott, White, Terry
This is the eBook version of the printed book. There are basically two types of iPhone books out there: (1) The "Tell-me-all-about-it" kind, which includes in-depth discussions on everything from wireless network protocols to advanced compression codes. (2) Then there's this book, which instead is a "show-me-how-to-do-it" book, that skips all the confusing techno-jargon and just tells you, in plain simple English, exactly how to use the iPhone features you want to use most. The iPhone Book is from Scott Kelby, the award-winning author of the smash bestseller, The iPod Book, who takes that same highly-acclaimed, casual, straight-to-the-point concept and layout and brings it to learning Apple's amazing iPhone. Scott teams up once again with gadget guru, and leading iPhone authority, Terry White to put together a book that is an awful lot like the iPhone itself-simple to use and fun to learn. The book's layout is brilliant, with each page covering just one single topic, so finding the information you need is quick and easy, with a large full-color photo on each page so you can see exactly how it works.
